Simplicity and peace of mind: the Fiat Tipo hatch is equipped with some of the most advanced safety systems as standard. As well as 2 airbags and ESC with Hill Holder, it has anti-lock brakes (ABS) complete with electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD), fog light with cornering function and Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS).
The Fiat Tipo 5Doors is equipped with 2 airbags (front,), to give you the utmost protection wherever you go.
Maximum active security and perfect control in emergency manoeuvres or on slippery surfaces thanks to the sophisticated ESC stability control system. The system includes Anti-Slip Regulation and Engine Drag Torque Control (ASR/MSR), Predictive Brake Assist (PBA), stability control§ (TSC), Hill Holder (HSA), anti-roll§ (ERM ) and Traction Control System (TCS).
Set the top speed you want to drive at and your Tipo hatch will keep below that speed all the way to your destination.
Regardless of your speed, the Anti-Slip Regulation system (ASR) uses the brakes and engine control to optimise the traction of the Fiat Tipo hatch even on slippery roads.
Hill Holder gives you a helping hand with hill-starts by keeping the brake applied for about 2 seconds, so that you can pull away on a gradient without juggling with the handbrake.
Thanks to extensive use of high-strength steels (approximately 80% of the total) and structural adhesives, the Fiat Tipo hatch has a rigid, lightweight unibody chassis. The overall result is lower weight, first-class handling dynamics and impressive strength in the event of an impact.
With McPherson independent suspension up front and interconnected wheels with lateral dynamic control at the rear, the Fiat Tipo hatch has a reliable, lightweight, efficient suspension system. The Frequency Dependent shock absorbers filter out stresses more effectively and reduce body roll when cornering.
Even the tightest manoeuvres in the Tipo hatch are a breeze, thanks to the record turning circle of less than 11 metres.
